
History
The brand Delvaux was founded in 1829 by Charles Delvaux. Originally the house luxury suitcases, but gradually they focused also on finer leather goods such as handbags, wallets and key chains. In 1883 Delvaux purveyor. In 1933 the house was taken over by Franz Schwennicke. From that time seasonal leather collections released. In 1970 came the wife of Schwennicke, Solange, her husband and Delvaux received international acclaim. The emphasis is on the traditional art of design and manufacture of luxury handbags in excellent quality. The oldest son of Franz and Solange, Francois, took the helm in 1994. Since 2007, he assisted in the daily management by Christian Salez.
Known designs
One of the most famous lines of Delvaux handbags is undoubtedly the Brilliant. This model has a very specific characteristic curve.
