Winter Beauty Tips

So the cold weather is approaching. A change in temperature means a change in your body. Here are a few beauty tricks to follow for the winter season. Although there are some downsides to the winter, there are also some positives. Here are some tips to help you look your best even in the winter months.
Your complexion will even out. Freckles tend to fade in the winter because the sun UV rays are less strong. Make sure to wear a spf on your face even though it is cold outside. Protecting your face helps to keep you looking young longer, and prevents wrinkles.

2) Your skin will not produce as much oil, and will sweat less in the winter months. Your makeup will not melt, or wear off as quickly. Because your body is not producing as much oil, make sure you are moisturizing, especially if you have a dry skin type.
3) Your hair does not grow as quickly in the winter. Hair also follows growing cycles, and winter is it's slowest growing cycle. Your legs will stay prickle free for longer. Your legs also need moisture. Use a lotion that is right for you. If you are experiencing a little flaking it is normal. Soak in warm bath water for 10-20 minutes and apply a cream rather than a lotion.

4) Your hair will stay clean longer. Again because it is winter and because of the dry air your body will not produce as much oils, and you will sweat less. Less frizz! However it is important to use a conditioner that will moisture your hair. Wash your hair less often, but use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

5) Still wearing dresses and skirts? In the winter, and cooler months it is necessary to wear tights. Fun patterned tights are in this year. Everything from argyle, stipes, polkadots, to the more conservative coloured tights. On the plus side by wearing tights you can put off that stubble on your legs a little longer.
